This is the original oil painting on stretched canvas, and there is only one. Up close you can see the weave of the canvas and every brushstroke in the feathers.
Two pink flamingos stand together on long, thin legs. One bends its neck down low, and the other curves its neck into a graceful S and turns its head back toward the first. Their feathers are layered in coral, peach and soft pink, with black-tipped bills and bright yellow eyes. Behind them, the background swirls in pale blue and warm cream.
Getting back to oils on canvas has been a joy, and these two were a happy way back in.
